The first thing you need to consider when choosing art for your home is what kind of art you like and what resonates with you. Art is a very subjective and personal matter, so there is no right or wrong answer here. You should choose art that makes you happy, inspires you, or reflects your values, interests, or passions.

One way to discover your personal taste and style is to browse online galleries, websites, or social media platforms that showcase different types of art. You can also visit local art fairs, exhibitions, or studios to see what catches your eye. You can also look at magazines, books, or blogs that feature interior design and art trends.

Some questions you can ask yourself when looking at art are:

  • What colors, shapes, patterns, or textures do I like?

  • What mood or emotion do I want to create in my space?

  • What themes or stories do I want to tell with my art?

  • What kind of art do I already have in my home and how can I complement or contrast it?

You can also take notes or screenshots of the artworks that catch your attention and create a mood board or a collage that reflects your personal taste and style.
